"Application of Bax Normalization in Saudi Arabia: The how!"

"Application of Bax Normalization in Saudi Arabia: The how!"

Stephan Bax argues that, "Our aim should be to attain a state of `normalization' in which the technology is invisible and truly integrated

Through reading the article, Stephan Bax wrote about how we can use technology in our daily life  in classes specifically use  computer in language teaching .CALL was divided into three phases which are "behaviouristic", "communicative" and "integrative
He argued for ethnographic analyses, in order to understand CALL better. He said that normalization’ relevant to any kind of technological innovation and refers to the stage when the technology becomes invisible, embedded in everyday practice and therefore normalized
CALL will be normalized when computers are used every day by language students and teachers as an integral part of every lesson, like a pen or a book
About how these changes and means could be applied to our Saudi context. I think it will not be easy process but we will do and if we compare the education system in Saudi Arabia   between now and before , we will find a lot of changes. To occur these changes we should follow these steps. first of all ,there should be an organized plan that are Equipping schools ,institutions and universities of regular classrooms with laptops with web access and printers. secondly, Connecting schools, institutions and universities campuses wirelessly with internet  is really important and a must to do. third, Using projectors , smart-boards. fourth, sing Social net working webs, blogs and wikis even e-mails  by both teachers and students as an e- learning support for the classes instead of traditional classes with no technological uses. the important tools should be available in the schools, and  the teachers should be trained to use these tools and teach students how to use it. Teachers and students will take a long time to be familiar with this new system but when they used to, they will find it easy
